Well i was talking to someone in the psp3d chat room a couple of days about xbox modding but i forgot who it was. So if you know how to mod xbox without a mod chip can you please join the chatroom......even if you need a modchip please join the chatroom so i can ask you questions  Im talking about taking out my xbox harddrive and putting it on my computer. |

Points: 461,100.06 Donate | | | Softmodding an xbox is pretty simple, but if you screw up, its a bitch to get back to normal.
All you do, is boot up the xbox with no disk, leave it in the xbox OS for about 2-3 minutes, so it unlocks the HDD, then unplug the HDD IDE cable (with power still going into the HDD from the xbox and the xbox on) and your computer should recognize it, then you use a program that allows you to add/remove files from that hard drive (because the xbox uses a different file system) then you install the softmod! Simple as that. But if you want to flash the xbox with some other custom OS without a modchip, you have to solder a few points very carefully!.

Points: 21.55 Donate | | | there multiple ways to mod the xbox with out chip, softmodding whereby you use a certain game to hack in through the xbox live function gain ftp access and change the dash to an evox dash, the hot swap boot the xbox wait for it to unlock the hdd and unplug it \ plug it in to your pc and use specific software (sounds iffy), or you can do a bit of soldering to remove the write protect of the rom chip and rewrite the original chip with a new firmware. or you could temporary install a chip (by wire not direct point to point) mod the dash board and remove it after you could use this for multiple xbox's as well.
