Hey guys im just wondering what happened to booster? Did he get sued by sony or did he get hired by them. Ive heard many different storys can someone tell me what really happened? Thanks guys  |

Points: 493.11 Donate | | | Well, i heard that it was all fake, but i never believed that it was fake, it was somewhat real as his site is GONE, but hopefully he didnt get sued and is still working on devhook, i guess we wont know until another release, but since booster released the source that means that another developer can continue his work "if" he was sued and wont continue it |

Points: 221.20 Donate | | | Booster was never sued for devhook - only for a particular file that came with the Devhook 0.43 fix. Sony asked the main hosting site to notify them when Booster next appeared, which must have been quite a while ago.
Hopefully Sony didn't scare him off during their "chat", but it's easy to imagine the sort of goings-on. He was probably also told to keep the conversation "under-wraps".
We can only hope that Booster has both the ability and bravery to continue work on the 2.80 reboot.bin and application, so we can launch it. If not, we may just have to make-do. |

Points: 3.02 Donate | | | if you think about it, its pretty sad how sony can do that to people after all the hard work Booster did with perfectly loading FW 2.71 from the MS but i understand that it was copyrighted material hopefully he secretly continues the work under a different name or passes on the unfinished work to someone else

Hence, hacking teams which null software never end up behind bars, rather, a private server hosting the pirated software sends the owner behind bars. It's just so much easier to find and prosecute people that way. |
