I think the blue screen of death usually means one of your drivers is incorrectly installed. I don't know much about it, sorry I can't help much.

Ah, gotta love upgrading or building your own computer. I used to have that problem a long time ago. If you reinstall windows, it should be fine. You're going to need to do that before you do anything else. I'm sorry if you've already done it, but that should solve the problem. Oh, and sad to say, when you reinstall windows, you will have to reformat your hard drive in this case. Hopefully you've backed everything up, if not. Put your hard drive into slave mode and hook it up to another computer and back it up on that hard drive, or make data discs with a burner.

The blue screen of death basically signifies any problem that could cause your computer even the slightest discomfort. You'll see it if you don't have enough ram, you have incompatible ram, you have broken hardware, you don't have the proper drivers for your hardware, your computer is too hot or too cold, your bios is corrupted, your ram is corrupted, the list goes on and on.

I have never gotten the blue screen of death EVER! And I am proud to say it. I have gotten many other death screens though.

The blue screen of death is the most annoying thing, next to emo kids.

Well you said windows loaded fine for a few secs so your partition table isnt corrupted...So You might have a bad RAM stick.....Try using that RAM on a diff. comp and see if that one crashes too.

make a test to your ram stiks , or if u changed some hardware recently, make sure they are compatable and have no errors or defects.
