-I had to increase the colour depth to 24-bit to add the transparency
-You should get Paint Shop Pro (not the new X, that is sh!t, 9 is best). Unlike PhotoShop, which is ment for image authoring, PaintShopPro is designed for graphics creation. It is much easier to learn, and can do pretty much anything Photoshop can do (but is a lot different - better IMO).
-Should they all be the same size (ie, x,y)? Coz they arn't...

| Wrong! it's only some pløaces that happens, and that is coz the coder in the app made it so ff00ff shall be rendered as transparent. it can be whatever color you like, it's up to the coder. ff00ff is not a transparent color. Quote: |

| 1-bit, 2-bit, 4-bit, 8-bit, 16-bit and 24 bit does not support transparency. the only color depth that does is 32-bit. you will never get real transparency whitout a 32-bit pic.
