Alright i decided to void my warrenty and open my 360 i have everything hooked up all of the sata cables are hooked together. I have got my computer to boot a disk from my 360 dvd-disk drive. I stuck slax cd in their because i wan my computer to let me read my 360 dvd drive. It worked it read it i gave me an error and i restarted it and i looked for my 360 cd/dvd drive letter and no luck. the error i get when i put slax is somthing about it being a raid drive or somthing. You put the slax disc in your computer and not the 360 drive, right? Also what is the chipset of your SATA controller?

No need to solder on a hitachi drive. It's very easy to flash once you get the drive recognized in windows.

on vertain version of hitachi you HAVE to soldier to get the drive into mode b to flash
either that or get one of the connetivity kits floating around or if you wanna waste some money buy the Xecuter one

ha that just proves what you no
ive been part of the xbox scene since the start
unless u have a specfic motherboard/chipset which i believe is VIA from memory there is no other way to flash your Hitachi drive unless you do the 2 wire trick
and if you have the newest hitachi your shit outta luck
unless you wanna desoler the sst chip and reprogram it with a external programmer
psplaya what drives have you flashed sammy's ???
go and read some some shit at xbox-scene before you start trying to sound smart
