First off, it's free. Not like pirated free, but free free. If you download the PS CS2 demo, a full version of ImageReady CS2 is included, and it never expires.
Next, I personally think it's a more user-friendly environment. It's easier, while at the same time offering nearly the same features as PhotoShop.
So if you're not looking to spend $300+ on PS, get the demo, so you can get ImageReady. I highly recommend it. |

Points: 4,923.40 Donate | | | Thats what i thought, but once my 30 day trial of PS expired i could only save psd files in imageready. So it was kinda worthless. And there is a difference. Imageready is more used for web editing (saving as a html document, rollover options, etc...) Photoshop is just images. They are very similar, someone elsde can probably tell the differences better then me.

Photoshop and imageready is the same program, seperated into two parts to make it easier to find the tools you want.
First you use photoshop to make the pictures you want, then you take it over to imageready to animate it, make html out of it, optimize it and other stuff.
you cant say that one is better than the other. they are meant to be used together, not only one of them.
Image ready is not free, it is the same as photoshop |
