Many p2p's are dangerous. If you use limewire, it gives out your IP when you download a file, so whoever you are downloading from can see you. Same with uploading. It's kind of tricky to hide when downloading stuff, you have to be careful of where and what. I'm not saying you should do these things, just giving you all a heads-up on limewire since so many people use it these days.

You could also just download music that is not under the jurisdiction of the RIAA. Most of the bands I listen to are in independent labels (most out of the country anyways) so they couldn't sue me for those files (the RIAA) but the other independent labels could. |
