Cool network 2 computer not useing the network port

i would like to network my 2 pcs 2gether but i only hav 1 network port which is use for my home network to get the internet it my room ect... , so would it be possible to, put another network card in that computer and connecting it through a crossover cable ? would it be possible ?

or has any 1 eles gt any throughts?

Yea, that'll work fine. You need to make sure it's a crossover cable when connecting 2 computers straight together through the ethernet cards. If you have a router or a hub you don't need a crossover cable. But yea, pop in another network card, link them with a crossover cable, and get the new network card configured and you'll be all set.
