Exclamation Help!!! Hard Drive and OS problemsss!!

Ok guys. I had this 20g Hard drive sitting around. I decided why not just add it to my computer since i have the open slot for it. I put it in the computer and config it as a slave. Everything worked well. after booting up the computer i went o My Computer to check to make sure that it actually worked. (**it worked ya**). I then went through it and noticed that everything on there was crap so i right click and click format. It deleted everything from the hard drive. Now im thinking of installing a New OS to it. I honestly do not knowhow to go about doing this but this is what i tried.
1) disconnected the main hard drive and set the empty slave as master.
2)set to booth from cd-rom.

--but the problem is im receiving an error saying "NTLDR missing".?? whats that.. I just need to add A OS to it.

Please and Thank you

Your getting that because your booting into the empty HD.

You need to boot into a windows cd (or whatever OS your installing) and you shouldnt get that error anymore.

what OS are you installing?

EDIT: nvm... XP, got it. Fdisk it, delete the existing partition and create a new one. Make sure you're on your new 20G hd not your old one when you Fdisk it
