That's right, we've got one hour until Windows Vista is released (30th January, if I'm not mistaken).
Unfortunately, I won't be here to celebrate, I shall be fast asleep as I'm going to Belgium on a business trip tommorow.

Points: 0.39 Donate | | | I've been waiting for Vista to come with standout changes from Windows XP. So far I can't really see much difference. Apparently it will make your life easier, the interface has changed, a bit like Windows Blinds or StyleXP, and more security.
Can anyone tell me some major changes, and why I should spend a few hundred on Vista?
I'm not against it or being a Mac fanboy Windows basher, but at the moment I'm happy with XP. |

Points: 212.39 Donate | | | I know people who are still on Windows 98SE or even Windows 95, simply because they feel that it's adequate for their needs.
If you feel you're alright with XP, you may as well not upgrade. Though Vista is prettier, more secure, and will be supported for a few years (whereas XP will soon become unsupported), plus all new software will be exclusive to it. |

Points: 27.05 Donate | | | I've had my copy (Legal) of Vista for a few weeks now. I like the aero glass and the flip3d alot. To the untrained eye its just XP with a nicer interface. But underneath its supposed to stop viruses from spreading and increase performance.
The downside is this UAC thingy that keep popping up whenever i try to do anything. It can be disabled but stuff has been moved around alot. It took me 2 hours to find out where to change the size of the icons.
