if my motherboard clearly states it can only handle up to a athlon xp 2800+ and i install a 2600+ can i overclock pass 2800+?

You probably could overclock it, but it might take a beating on the mobo. Like with the PSP, the hardware was designed for 333 MHz. I personally wouldn't try it.

ahhh yes before i was an idiot. you could do it but i also would not recommend you also you would need some way better colling because things would start to get hot down there. but i have seen it done... so idk if you want a longer computer life dont do it
