Well its like this...

Windows vs Linux = Windows winning (for now)

Reason: hard to use linux for now, and many things are not compatible with linux.

with that out the way...

Windows vista is comapatible with office 2003, and saying that vista is compatible with most things, i have found vista is a much more relaible os than xp is, and much mroe functional, it also has alot more eyecandy but it doesnt compare to ubuntu linux with beryl... but that is another story

.

I would only ever use vista on a Powerful system, vista is VERY demanding when it comes to resources.

Well, usually the companies will give you Basic for free. I mean, it's a good budget deal, only eighty bucks I believe. I went the whole nine yards for Ultimate though.

Well, thanks anyway DorkDork. I really wanted to use 2003 but I was worried about issues arising from incompatibility so I just went with 2007. Bleh.

I hated Vista for a few weeks, but after you get used to it (and turn off that darn "cancel or allow" thing, it's pretty cool.
