they help your body fall asleep while your brain is consious
wen that happens u experience what happens every time u fall asleep
u will hear strange noises, feel ur muscles twitching and tingling, become paralized, and eventually either see or feel urself going through a light tunnel to darkness, then your dream.
only if u did it right u no that your are dreaming and can do whatever you want.
most dreaming that u remember happens in the 5th stage of sleeping
REM - rapid eye movement
and thats when u lucid dream
its about 90 minutes into falling asleep and it happens about 4-5 times a night
each rem period gets longer
so its harder to become lucid from being wide awake, and the most helpful is waking up after 5/6 hours of sleeping, doing something for an hour, then going to sleep again, as the REM is just starting again
