Thumbs down My psp keeps crashing

hey all im having a few problems with my psp it keeps crashing as from today from about 5.30pm i was listening to music on it and "bang" it crashed the screen wen black and it wouldnt turn on or off unless i took the battery out its been hapening for a good ferw hours now i can get a few mins out of it b4 it crashes agen i tried formatting my memory stick and resetting to defaults but still it continues to crash. i recently updated to version 3.50 is this a known fault? and can any 1 help me figure out my problem?

try restoring your settings to default. If not try taking your battery out for a while. That usually worked for me.

He already tried resetting to the default settings but maybe taking the batery out for awhile like dq9 said will help.

Yea try taking out the battery for awhile and also leave it unplugged from the AC adapter also. It might hopefully help.

well i tried that method i left the battery out all day it seems to be the screen thats not working properly if i shake it about the screen goes all distorted and lines start apearing... lcd problem?

if lines appear and the screen gets all distorted when you shake it alittle bit then maybe your screen isnt hooked up correctly or all the way, did you change the face plate or something that caused you to open it up.

nope iv done nothing to it since i bought it a year ago maybe just old age? i dont even have a screwdriver small enough to open the case lol but for now iv stole my lil brothers psp lol but i would like to try n fix this problem it seems to be hardware related so i might just take it down to the games shop n see what they can do for me

Well, if you bought it just less than a year ago it may be eligible for free repair under warranty. God, I'm sounding like the small print of an Argos catalogue... If you haven't used homebrew (or say you haven't used homebrew...) you could send it in for free repair.

That's right if the store won't replace it send it to $ony and they'll fix it and he is on 3.50 Dorkdork so that means no homebrew for him. $ony should accept it and repair it then.
