| 1080i vs 720p! AHH!!!! Ok, I am so confused.
I only compared resolution, frame rates, refresh rates in the computer world.
Now, I entered this HDTV world, noobs telling me 720p HDTV is better then a computer monitor! (yea ok, try to beat my 1920x1200 res monitor).
So i saw 1080i, and 1080p Monitors, they are very impressive.
WTF is it!!!
1080i is interlaced, 1080p is progressive.
1080p is 30 frames per second
1080i is 60 fields?? per second.
don't all LCD Monitors, deinterlace before they display content? Thus displaying 1080p... Resolution? I don't get this
In computer monitors, its 1920x1080 resolution in Windows settings and you're set. What is MY monitor considered in the HDTV World? 1080p or 1080i panel? its 1920x1200 resolution with 1920x1080 1:1 Pixel Mapping.
I don't get this, people say 1080i is 540p, which is not true, i thought its more like 2 540p sources coming at you at super nominal speeds (lmao wtf).
now, 720p is 1280x720 resolution at 30 frames per second.
My Laptop screen is 1280x800 resolution... but it doesn't point out its 30 frames per second.
How about my CRT 21" NEC Monitor, is that 1600x1200 Progressive or 1600x1200 Interlaced since its a Tube Technology Monitor.
Are all HDTV Monitors like this? are they capped at frames per second in these fields?
Why are all HDTV ppl noobs? lol they said HDTV are better then computer MONITORS!! My 1995 computer monitor can go up to 1280x1024 surpassing the.. 1280x720.. errr 30 frames per second limit.
I NEED ANSWERS!!! AHH!@!
like if i connect to my computer to a 1920x1080 panel that can only display 1080i, what the heck happens? How come it HAS to display in interlaced, not just everything at same time? stupid marketing
