| Little network problem with router with WEP, and blue screen Hi everyone!
Once again, I have another problem with a PC... Ok Actually they're 2 problems... Both anoying too...
1- The first problem has to do with my internet in my notebook. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G v6 router, with WEP 64-bit ecryption.
What happens is this: I turn on the computer and the internet works fine. For a little while. Then it stops working with a Message like this one: "
Impossible to connect to the wireless network"
I then click repair but it fails... Still, the internet starts to work once again but later it starts to appear the ballon with the message.
This only happens when I use WEP... I would change to another, but, it so much easier to put the password in the PSP, and my sister's Nintendo DS only works with WEP. And my father's old laptop too.
Anyone know why is this happening?
Note: The internet in the desktop that is directly connected with a cable works perfectly ad the PSP too. Probably a windows bug? And if it is does it have a "cure"?
2- This one involves a boring, stupid bluescreen of death...
Something to do with Memory Parity Error. I've searched in the internet for causes, and I find many. But this happens to me 2 diferent ways that I can't find in the internet.
One is the most rare and was the first I spotted. It happend ramdomly it seems, when the computer was idle. The other one, thought, happens when playing certain games like, for example, FlatOut2, Tomb Raider Anniversary, and maybe others.
I can't find a good reason for this. I thought, damaged RAM, but some diagnosis found on the internet says everything is alrite.
What do you think it may be?
Here are some of the specs of the laptop.
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz
2*512 MB DDR-II RAM
2*120 GB SATA HDD at 5400rpm
ATI MOBILITY Radeon X1800 254 MB dedicated
If you think more info is needed to identifie some of the problems, please, tell me! (like more specs or some images)
Thanks in advance.
