there is a really easy way without bricking, and if they deny to take it back, you can get it to work again.

Use a screwdriver to open up the psp, and carefully disconnect the screen by using a small knife to pull open a little latch on one of those thin wires, and then pulling it out. Your screen wont work, and if they deny to take it back, just connect the wire again and itll work. (go to www.youtube.com and search for the video of the guy isntall the psp2tav, and youll see how to diconnect the screen.)

Its prob not a good idea. Sony is aware of the Homebrew scene and just might catch on. Try dropping it so it doesn't get physically damanged. They will find no visible reason for the bricking.

Not a good idea bacause you have to cut the warrenty tag and then SOny will laugh in your face. And send you back a waste of time PSP.

Do an update and then take out your memory card. That should brick and/or it will run but incomplete.

You could try doing some very risky beta testing of downgraders .. If the downgrader works we all win .. If it doesn`t , then you might brick your psp and you win
