i read this discussion about dead pixels on another psp forum, basically they said that you have the right to take it back and either get a refund or a replacement, there was a huge quote from trading standards which backed up the customer, the final word was 'just threaten retailer with trading standards and you should get somewhere'

I am not sure if this is the way i would go but each to their own
