hi,
i was browsing the net about this little microphone problem i am having, i went and started my steam this morning to play some dod and my mic would not work at all, and now it wont work on yahoo either, it worked fine yesterday but not today, i was wondering if maybe somone new why this happened and if it is fixible if you know anything pls reply and i would be so grateful

try uninstalling and re-installing the driver.

still nothing, ive looked through all sound settings reinstalled drivers im stumped its not the mic i treyd a different mic and still nothing this worked two days ago now all of a sudden it wont

how's your security setting on your comp? virus's can be put on your comp just to piss you off lol. I have heard of all kinds of stuff from taking control of your mouse to changing your time settings. maybe give the comp a thorough scan with your antivirus and maybe pay a visit to (google) trend micro housecall

i have nod32 avira antivir and avast corporate pro , i scanned with each and still nothing i updated driver and still nothing i tryed 4 diff mics still nothing im so stumped this makes me very mad

Go into your sound card/volume options and make sure Microphone is not muted, and that the volume is up.
