They are not only loading spyware onto your computer, but planting viruses that examine the stock market, watch your every move on your computer for marketing purposes, searching the web, and more. They are using up your CPU power, your bandwidth, and your electricity! And they get away with this when you hit "I agree" when you install their crap.
As Lifehacker says, "stick to open-source."

| | | Hi, I just wanted to comment to correct something. Digsby does not install spyware or viruses. The offers shown once during installation are 100% optional. The research module can be disabled in Preferences > Support Digsby.
We realize that we should have been more upfront about this and we updated Digsby to show a popup notification the first time it tries to run. We published a blog post explaining our revenue models and asking for you feedback here - Digsby Blog » Build 62 - Crystal Clear!

| It shouldn't even be in there in the first place! Quote: |

| You guys take advantage of computer unsavy people who just click next when they install stuff. They hit next so fast that they don't see what kind of crapware is being loaded onto their computers. Quote: |

None of that garbage should be in there in the first place. The developers of Digsby should be ashamed of themselves for including all this in their product. It's developers like that who give coding and programming a bad name. |

Excuse my language.
