dont close just yet....

ok, well i kno that many threads have been closed tonight already about this, but the new exploit has been bothering me. how was such an exploit developed? i have ran it multiple times, swtiching the mem sticks at different times, but i always get a crash or the the game cannot be started message. so instead of using 2 mem sticks, i just took the data.psp and data.psar of the 1.5 update and put it into the exploited eboot, and u dont have to switch mem sticks, but u still have the same error of "the game cannot start". is this because we dont have the algorithm/code from sony to sign it? because if so, i was thinking, all game developers must get this key, right?

well if that was the problem, it wouldnt have even gotten to the white screen. but they have gotten up to there on some eboots, so that might be why. i think its because much of the 2.61 eboot is nothing, so the psp is actually saying "Files Not Found", but it displays the error you get.

And the creator of the new overflow is been asked how he created it. So maybe there will be something new

when you open it in notepad, it looks like a lot of repeating characters, then the PSP Update Ver. 2.61 in all the different languages. If you changed those to any number lower than your current firmware, it wouldnt start. This has been tried before, but a different method has been used and one day may result in a downgrader.
