I also have McAfee Virus Scan 2005 but that is extremely slow and it doesn't detect many infections. The 'free trial' removers detect from 20 to 650 infections on my computer but McAfee detects none. This happens even though I regularly update my McAfee. I have viruses such as maxifiles which redirects me to search engines if I type in the wrong URL, 180search(spyware, adware, something like that), and something called fast video player, which connects and disconnects my internet connection repeatedly, and dials very expensive dirty numbers. If you have any way of helping me, please do, even though this has nothing to do with this website. | Get microsoft Anti-Spyware its 100% free |

You will normally have to fix that yourself manually. see when spyware installs on your computer it changes the windows registry so if you delete it it will come right back. trust me i learned that the hard way
P.s. back-up you files before you go into the windows registry! |

or if you are like me delete that windows crap and install linux. spyware doesnt run in linux ^^ | |
