But when it comes to homebrew security, DS because they cannot release security updates, DS has lots of cool keyboard homebrew released and lots more. Even though PSP has 'cooler' homebrew in my opinion and can play ISOs, i think its easier for homebrew on DS if you have a flashcart and stuff, than it is trying to downgrade from 2.5 or whatever. I think now since DS has WiFi out i would have to try animal crossing, which i am going to buy on dec 5th. It has chatting but the terrible part is that you must have a dreaded 'friend code' to come to there server and plus its only 4 player per server as PSP is 16 per. BUT! DS is less fragile than PSP, about 95% more durable than the PSP is, because if you drop a gameboy, its built to fall lol, but if you drop a PSP a few times or even once, you find that the sound fucks up or the screen is busted! So hmmm i will now FAIRLY rate them together below....
First off the PSP
Gameplay meaning how easily played: 6-10
-The reason its so low is because when im playing games with my analog stick, my hand cramps every 5mins.
Other features: 10/10
-Reason is because of the web browser and music player...
Games put out: Not very many and not very good some of them so, 7/10
-Just my opinion
Homebrew: 9/10 when it comes to how good it is these days.
-I have tried some of it and its pretty well made but not all of it.
Online Play: 10/10 no matter what game
-Great multiplayer modes.
Gameboy DS time!
Gameplay: 10/10
-I think its because nintendo has had great controllers since NES started, comfortable controlling on the DS.
Other features: 5/10
-Not many other features but pictochat and gamesharing.
Games put out: Hmmm basically every gameboy game and plus DS games so i would fairly say, 9/10
Homebrew: 8/10 because of how good it is.
Online Play: Well i havnt honestly tried it yet but i will say it looks good so for now i will rate it, 9/10 |

| | | | I have no arguments that PSP is better for all around entertainment. However, all the extra features are what makes it so expensive. To be able to watch a movie, listen to music, or browse the internet for anything more than to find someone to play a game against in my opinion is not necessary. If those features didn't exist the PSP would be less money which would be a huge plus for the PSP. Sony could reinvest the money into the games. It would also use less battery, and would not need upgrades or downgrades of firmware. In terms of online play, Nintendo has big plans with Wifi. Although Gamecube was never successful with online play, it was because they had no intention to put in online. They didn't do the online support, it was the individual game manufacturers that did. Thats why i think that since Nintendo is putting forth the effort (better late than never), it will be much better than what people are expecting. It's already up and apprently (i have yet to get mario kart ds) its very easy to work with. When Nintendo put its mind to something it normally is done very well and for not much money (ok yes i do remeber the virtual boy, everyone makes a mistake). Call it a kiddie game if you want but Nintendogs has sold a LOT of copies in Japan and the US because of the way you interact with the game, touch control, voice control, makes what some would call a kiddie game into something Revolutionary. Nintendo has some big plans, and i honeslty can't wait to find out what exactly it all is. |

i have played nintendogs (and it is quite good) and the touch screen was a great idea by nintendo. Looks like they may have a bit of competition after all.
and maybe.......
who knows the nintendo revolution (they use disks now yay no cartridge's) may be better than ps3......maybe |

And it's something that sony really should be looking into rather than random firmware updates. |

Maybe they had good graphic, good sound than DS but PSP is just like a handheld Ps2. That's just my idea . |

| | | | Ok so PSP can emulate GBA games? If thats true, what does that tell you? Why would you emulate games from another system if they aren't better than the games out for PSP? To spend $249 on a system and play games that you could play on a $79 system doesn't make sense. So that should say a lot about the qualtiy of the games for PSP. I keep hearing to wait and see that good games will be coming out that are good. Well why not wait to buy the system then? Oh and Mario is not dead, check sales charts on Mario games and compare them to any other character franchise out there. |
