Battery Releated

Now I know that we all are angry at how the battery and the psp coincide, but look at the ad to the left > http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3.../untitled2.jpg
if they can get that stupid mp3 player to get 50 hours, you think they should be able to get the psp to go for more than 5 hours, at least 10 hours minimum do you think?

An mp3 player plays music not games, movies and just even the fact its powering that massive screen. If you used that battery the mp3 player has you wouldnt get as much playtime on the psp.

You have to remember, the PSP requires much more power than a simple MP3 player. Let's compare the two.

The MP3 player requires power for only a small screen and headphones. Easy to see why so little battery is required.

However, the PSP needs battery for the Backlight, UMD drive, MS Drive, Wi-Fi (Requires much power), the screen, the motherboard and other components, and much more.

So by that you can see why the PSP only lasts a few hours. SONY is trying to make larger batteries, and there are expansion boxes available for purchase.

Hopefully this clears things up for you.
