Points: 3.74 Donate | | | .gif problems I made my animation in Macromedia Flash MX 2004, and it looks fine and everything, then i convert it to a .gif (using the same program) and everything still looks okay, but when i upload it, it gets all messed up (look at my sig) does anyone know why its doing this and/or how to fix it? Thanks

Points: 29.91 Donate | | | You problem is simple. The gif palete is off color. See if you can change it in the advanced opions; I don't use that program.
For the nerdly explination: A gif has a pre-designated palete of colors (256, to be exact). You can change the colors of the palete to suit the picture (Lets say you have a pic with grass. The palete would be mostly or all green). I know that most programs automaticly select the palete colors, without any tweaking.
If you still don't get this, think of a GBC playing an old GB game. The GB game only has four grayscale "colors," right? By assigning a palete (i.e. black=red, light black=dark pink, light gray=lighter pink, and white=white) we give color to the game, and can swap these colors just by changing a few variables.
