| | | Mozilla is better than..... First of all, Mozilla is much better than internet explorer, unless you want some cracker to hack into ur psp and take, delete and copy ur files>not me.
Mozilla can open new pages in new tabs
you can call whoever and tell them whut u think but unless ur smart enough to hack into the file and change the internet browsr>yu'll ave to deal wit it |

Firefox is good, but your reasoning was quite bad.
I'd be more worried about running windows itself rather than Internet Explorer.
Firefox was good when it first came out because it was new, and there hadn't been many exploits around for it because it wasn't heaps popular to start off with.
Tabs have been around for ages, It's not a new thing, but i must admit i like them.
Nothing is safe on the Internet if you go to the wrong places and do the wrong things.
But yeah, pretty pointless thread

I have a few tweaks for those of you who have at least 512mb of ram on your computer and who are looking to speed up your webbrowser like 3x faster. It works, I've got it on mine and you will notice a difference on most sites.
thing is you are required a stable and fast computer and broadband connection. Who says I post up a few tweaks? |

in your browser (where you put the web address) type:
about:config
Then you should get a long list of items. Scroll down to the parts that read:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
network.http.proxy.pipelining
on "network.http.pipelining" right click and click "toggle" so it now reads as "true" in the value column.
with "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" right click and click "modify". Then change the "max requests" from 4 to a number bigger than 4. (8 is ok, but I use 60 with a gig of ram. REMEMBER the bigger the number the more the computer has to work. you can keep it simple but the max I'd suggest is 100)
and finally, with "network.http.proxy.pipelining" Also change the value from false to "true".
what it does is sends multiple requests to a website so it gets you there faster. Make sure your computer can handle it though... else you may cause a crash. My computer is a 2.1ghz compaq AMD, 1 gig of ram (2 512's).
Good luck, and much speed! ;-) |
