PS2 Homebrew

Hey, I have done about as much as I can or want to with homebrew on my psp 2.6, and was wondering if ps2 had some homebrew for it? And I don't mean the kind that you have to go out and buy $200 worth of stuff (like DS) to use it. So does it play much homebrew, and will I have to have any certain thing to use it?

P.S. I have searched for this in ps2 forums, and have found that it does have homebrew, but it is pretty confusing and I'm not certain on what I need for it

EDIT: Oh, and I don't think mine is chipped because it is the original which I got the year it came out (when it was still $300)

I have been using emulators on the ps2 for years. You need Swap Magic or a mod-chip to use it.

And how could I get these? (remember, 6 years old )

EDIT: Oh, ok, so I would have to buy something to be able to play homebrew. Bummer. Well thanks for the help.

get your parents to buy you a solderless DMS4 Lite or Pro whichever you prefer
(i have lite) then you can download emulators like snes, genesis/megadrive, neo
geo cd etc. then just burn the emulator on disc with roms.
The Neo Geo Cd emulator requires the games to be on a seperate disc.

You could get swap magic off of ebay it is cheaper than a mod-chip but is no where near as good
