Yeah thats fine with P2P but Bit-torrent you dont know who is sharing it, therefore cant find out, you can find the tracker and sue the person responsible for that, but not the individuals. Anyway, the ISP is not allowed to release your information, it's called the data protection act.

Hmm...I've done some stuff in my life im not proud of...(cough couhg photoshop school cough cough) But you can delete your I.P. address and make a fake one. you jus have to use MS DOS...

actually bit torrent does share your IP address, it just doesnt show a username, but it still connects to the peers. And the laws have changed about releasing the information, thats why they are having the suits

but if you dont share any files ur ok the cant track you then , wat happens if ur behind a router dosent that give some random ip?

While ur downloading a file your also sharing it.

And if your behind a router, it gives the IP of your current internet connection
