I am creating my own forum, hosted by a friend who works for a hosting company. He is using phpBB for the forums. I don't even know if that counts as hosting, but there you go. He claims that phpBB is the "best" board there is, but another friend says that phpBB has the worst security of all of the boards and hosts you can think of. He says that he refuses to be a moderator at my site, because it is doomed before it has even begun. I have read on the phpBB forums that there are serious exploits that could have happened but they have created new versions of phpBB. The second friend I spoke of says that there are loads of hacks that can be found in phpBB code and that on every other hacker-page, you can find different hacks for phpBB. He says that even noobs who know absolutely nothing about computers can hack you if they wanted. Apparently, almost anyone can hack your forum and get administrator rights, then deleting everything they wanted, or even wipe out your whole server. Well, I want your opinion, if I choose one guy, then the other will leave, and vice versa. Please vote in the polls and if you know any site that will give me more information, please post it here.
