Points: 14.29 Donate | | | iMesh is legal! I'm sure plenty of you have heard about this already, but the P2P program iMesh is officially legal now! It's old news (a few months) but I recently heard it became legal. I think you get a month or so free trial. So far so good.
In case you don't know, iMesh started a bit later than Napster. The older versions of iMesh are not legal, so I would suggest you download the newest. (6)
The only problem is that they are all licensed. You can't do anything other than listen to them on your computer, unless you either find a program to get rid of the license, or just record each song with some program. (One is incorporated into Roxio, in case any of you have it)
I just thought you guys might want to know about it if you didn't already.
TIP: 1. Don't try to play the music from inside of iMesh! open up the folder they are saved to and play it with something else. If you try to play in iMesh, you will probably get some kind of license message and the song wont work at all.
2. I've heard that if you upgrade/uninstall iMesh, it deletes your songs that you downloaded from iMesh. Back them up to be safe, I'm not really sure. |

Points: 67.96 Donate | | Thats what i said TheTruePYRO, the programs are legal, the downloading however isnt, if you say iMesh is now legal then i have no reason to doubt you. Thank you for bringing this to my attention  I am at university studying internet law and this kind of thing interests me greatly. |

Points: 14.29 Donate | | | Yeah. Everything is legal about iMesh. I think some downloads from Gnutella and older iMesh versions leak through. They are labeled with a different color cd. I think its blue or green. (The legal downloadable ones have a gold cd next to them) |
