Sony has an ingenious idea that PS3 and PSP won't just be gaming sysytems but more. Why this distracts customers is beyond me, these things only add to my excitement for PSP. You also seem to forget that, with PS2 when it first came out was selling for $500 YES THATS RIGHT $500. PS3 is supposed to be around $400, and even if it did go for $500 I'm still buying one. I am not being a fanboy, but I am looking at the complete package you get with a system. You don't think it would be nice to get that game that is sold out everywhere through their online system. I know thats just a rumor that they might do that, but there are a lot of things the PSP has done that I wouldn't have guessed. Next time you think Sony is going down the drain remember, just because they lose money doesn't mean they will lose the next gen war. | aaaa, no, actually a lot of people play online with xbox
in the early part of 2004 there were 7.5 million online players
and after Halo 2 came out it doubled to 14.1 million players.
I'd say a couple million is a lot, if you don't believe do some research
And according to the article it take $800 to make a PS3 and they wanna sell it for $500 which is a loss of $300
Xbox 360 takes $430 to make (don't quote me on that but its close) so they are lossing like for the core i think $30 and for the premium $130

Also if you read what I said NOT EVERYONE! Another thing if you knew anything you would know that Merryl Lynch was incorrect on their estimate anyway (no I don't mean how they said $900 when it was actually $800 in their math) when if fact almost everything is done in house so its cheaper, so it probably means more like $600-$700 price range if not cheaper. Lastly, Halo 2 may have sold many copies, but every person I talk to that has it (not just people around me but from other states and countries) considers Halo 2 a flop.
P.S. Microsoft is losing their grip too because they can't even maufacture enough 360's I have only seen 2 360's for sale in store before every other one was reserved and people could only at the most buy one and the amount in stock was maybe 12 and that was at Best Buy. IMO they are the ones losing money and I bet it costs more than $430, because most consoles take a few years before they even come close to making profit (if you don't believe me look at the original XBox sales and how much profit they made from consoles alone, then also see yet another reason why Microsoft wanted to get their machine out first). Yet another Microsoft fanboy.

| | | Not directly link to the topic, but still in shock to see the Nintendo DS doing so many sales in japan (250 000 this week, 40 000 for the psp), it's sure that the ds is more sold than the psp over the world, even if it doesn't make sens to me, the ds is for me from an other age like the past, while the psp is a stunning high tech device. About the New generation of videogame system, sounds clear that sony is gonna fight a lot of compettitors, with the XboX360 and the Wiiiiii , While Krosoft tries to beat sony on the high tech area (and is failling i think, coz the psp with its blue ray drive gonna kill the xbox360), nintendo is using a new idea in gaming which is Inovation, and never like today, a gaming system inovates like the WII, i reallly think it's a genuis inovation, that gonna lead us to a new generation of video gaming | |
