i recently bought a new 250 gig hard drive, due to low space on my other hard drive and i encountered these 2 problems,
1)i went to install windows on the second hard drive, and it was only showing that it contained 130 gigs, from a 250 gig hard drive ?!?!?
2) when i went to format my second hard drive, it somehow managed to do a quick format of my first hard drive, which had ALL my files on there, this probably happened out of my own stupidity, but i am in desperation, i lost everything and i need to get them back cause i will get killed.
please help me |

also windows itself normally only supports 130, you have to enable support for higher
i assume you dont have any data recovery cd's etc, but before you re-install over the top of it, i'd prolly take it to a tech to get installed.
this is why if you dont know what your doing, its worth just paying someone the 30 bux to have it installed

Good luck! |

please help me | for starters windows would never format one driver instead of the other
you would of formatted the wrong drive all u had to do was right click on the drive and click format and if it was your first drive and it wasn't Partitioned widows would not of formatted it coz its contains your windows file
so u have done some thing wrong here
and as for data receovery they wont be able to recover all the date only some
my advice in the future if your dont no what your doing dont do it |

Active@ Partition Recovery is a very small and easy to use DOS Program (only 150k in size) using which you can:
* Recover deleted partitions (FAT, FAT32 and NTFS)
* Restore deleted FAT and NTFS Logical Drives
* Create Drive Image - for backup purposes
* Scan hard drives and detect deleted FAT and NTFS partitions and/or Logical Drives
* Preview files and folders on deleted partition or drive, to recover proper data
* Backup MBR (Master Boot Record), Partition Table, Boot Sectors
* Restore MBR, Partition Table and Boot Sectors from backup if damaged

solution: either install servicepack 2 from M$ or partition the drive into two drives
