Need help fixing Dell laptop

Hey people!!! I hope everyone is doing well tonight!
I bought this laptop (dell inspiron 8200) of a guy that I work with for 50 bucks (he is a dumbass, doesnt know shit about computers), its a decent machine and everything works fine on it, but it has one problem, when it pwers with the ac adapter it gives a message that the wrong adapter has been detected (70 watt instead of 90 watt) and system runs in battery optimized mode, plus when its off it charges the battery very slow im talikng like 7% per day, i know its not the adaptes fault because i have two of them, they both new! So I was wondering if I could get a decent advise from nice people at psp3d!

PS-i dont want to send it to dell because they charge you out the ass for nothing and i dont know whats the real story behind this laptop(you know what i mean)!!!

Thanks for any feedback!!!

I said I have the right adapter, for ispiron 8200, output 90 watt 20v 4.51A,
and it asks for exactly the same one when its on with it, it says 70 watt 20v 3.5A has been detected!!!
edit: i even checked it on dell website!!!

the power connector inside might be coming lose, battery might be dieing, or the laptop power circuit may simply be dieing. Im voting on the last one.

I have a Dell laptop Latitude D600. I think the problem is that your adapter isnīt sending the proper energy to the laptop. Thatīs wy it runes the battery.
Probabbly the adapter is broken. Im almost 100% sure...(i used to repair power suplies and stuff likes this).

Well...if the same happens for both...the itīs an internal problem. Probably in the adapter entrance for the laptop. That is not good...
Did you try a new battery...just in case (for the charging problem)?
