PSP dead Pixels ARG!

Hi. I am a newbie to all of this, so forgive me. I managed to find a brand new version 1.5 firmware PSP at Best Buy this week. However, it has like 7 dead pixels. I had 2 ideas. I could buy another new PSP (newers ones are said to not have the dead pixel issue) and switch the MOBOs. For this I would need a step by step guide on how to do that. I have heard of a guide w/ pics online, but cannot find it. Other option is to see if SONY will replace the screen only and not give me a new PSP. Any other suggestions. Thank you in advance.

MOBOs? What's that? Anyways, if it has dead pixels, bring it back to the store and show them. They should give you a new one if you have recently bought it.

If they are really DEAD-pixels, nothing can fix them, but if they're STUCK-pixels, then the stuck pixel fixer might work.

I appreciate the reply, but returning it to best buy is not an option. It was a miracle to find an unopened 1.5 firmware PSP. I had the lady look through all 8 PSPs they had and one box had an "A" on the sticker on the side. Returning it would get me a NON 1.5 PSP. I want to keep the original firmware. MOBO is motherboard. I'll try the stuck pixel fixer, but when you boot it up you can see about 7 white dots against the black background, so I think they are dead, not stuck. Does that sound like they are dead or stuck to you?

Thanks again.

They're stuck pixels, stuck pixels are stuck into some color (like red, blue, white etc.), and dead pixels are dead, so they're just black dots, doesn't matter which color background you have. So I suggest you to try the stuck pixel fixer.

Thanks for you input MiiKKiZ. I'll try that when I get home. That would be awesome if they were just stuck and not dead.
