i have recently bought an xbox 360 and when i linked it up to xbox live silver, it said that i am eligible for a month's worth of xbox live gold. But the thing is, is when i play call of duty online, i can hear other people talking through my speakers, but when i try and speak, nothing happens, does anyone know what to do?

I'm assuming that you do have a microphone. Have you ever asked people in the game if they can hear you? If they answered, then it's working fine.

I know I fixed talking with my psp microphone by adding its MAC adress to the QoS section of my router, under Applications & Gaming. (Linksys WRT54GX2)

Please note, I have never owned an xbox360. I'm just stating what I did to fix my problem.
